2nd Annual So Cal
Shop Hop NNN August 8 - 24 WHAT IS THE SO The 2008 So Cal Shop Hop promises to be a total blast!! This year there
are 38
stores participating.
It has been extended to two weeks. It will span 17 days and a total of three weekends to be exact. This should give you plenty of time. If you hit 16 stores,
you will be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to your home store and a bunch of other prizes that are still rolling in
from sponsors. If you hit all 38 stores you will be eligible to win one of three
grand prizes. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? Anyone can participate.
All you have to do is purchase a So Cal Shop Hop Passport from Scrappin' Good Times. The Good Time Girls are going to hit the The So Cal Shop Hop Passport will entitle you to 15% off your entire purchase at each store. If you bring your So Cal Shop Hop Tote Bag you will get an additional 5% off for a total of 20% off at
all 38 participating stores. If you haven’t purchased yours yet, do not worry. We are in the process of ordering more
bags and passports. We should have everything back in stock in plenty of time
to participate in the Shop Hop.

Did you know??? Did you know that you could email yourself a reminder of all of your classes??? Go to the "Calendar" page. Click on the event that you want to remind yourself of. A second window will pop up. Click on "Set Reminder" Choose when you want the reminder sent to you. Enter your email address. Click "Set Reminder" You are done!! You will now get a reminder for that class.
DESIGN TEAM In the little time that the Employees and Design Team have been working, there
is already a HUGE DIFFERENCE in our store and website. SAMPLES Samples, Samples and more Samples. The Employees and Design Team are creating new
samples faster than we can get them out. You are sure to find something you like. We encourage you to Scraplift!!! SHOWCASE Scrappin' Good Times will always have a SHOWCASE. About every two weeks there will
be a new theme. So far we have had a Baby, Wedding, Graduation, Father's Day and Theme park. For every showcase the design
team and employees will create a project. This will include greeting cards, invitations, layouts, mini books and who knows
what other paper crafting projects they may come up with. You can find the SHOWCASE as soon as you walk in the store on the right hand side. You asked for them and we brought them back. The girls are doing some awesome classes!!! You can see all the class samples when you walk in the store to the right behind
the Showcase tables. We will also have the classes listed on the website under classes and calendar and
occasionally on the blog. BEHIND THE SCENES The Design Team is all over the Internet pouring over scrapbook websites finding
out the latest and greatest and reporting back to me so I can make sure to order what’s hot!!

GRAND OPENING NEWS 10/16/04 Yes….It is true. I don’t care what anyone says!! Scrappin’
Good Times has the absolute BEST CUSTOMERS IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!! We expected family and friends to be at our Grand Opening
& Ribbon Cutting Ceremony because they were obligated to be here. What we never expected was having so many of our customers
here. We were overwhelmed with emotion. Thank you all for the flowers, the cards and the well wishes. This will go down in
our life history book as one of the BEST TIMES OF OUR LIVES!!! Our Grand Opening was so much fun. It was successful beyond our wildest dreams.
We figured we would have a lot of people here but we NEVER expected to have as many as we did. On a good day we have about
50 transactions. We had a total of 278 transactions!! This overwhelming response tells us that our customers like getting
their scrapbook supplies at 25% off. We did this to show our appreciation to you and we plan to do it again soon. We thank
you for your continuing support and kind words about our store. We sincerely apologize to those of you who had to wait in
the long lines. We are regrouping right now and trying to figure out how we can do things better the next time. Every day
is a learning experience for us and we will do our best to ALWAYS make your shopping experience a pleasant one. Many of our friends and customers gave up their Saturday and VOLUNTEERED
to help us out. Jennifer and Eddie own the scrapbook store called TableScrapz at
the Brea Mall. We are so lucky that they have the same cash register system as us. They worked the cash register so we could
be free to help you. Jennifer and Eddie, we are blessed with your friendship and our business partnership. We thank you for
all your great ideas and suggestions which we have put to good use in our store. Please make sure you visit their scrapbook
store as soon as possible! On a regular day Erika works at Obrien Systems which is the company
that sells our cash register. When I was desperate to find someone who could help I thought of Erika, after all she was the
person who trained us. She is always there for us when we are in a bind!!! Our good friend Donna Valdez helped us out with product demonstrations
and customers service. Donna is like a permanent fixture in our store and we love it, she has helped us out since day one.
I am extremely indebted to Donna because she took four days off work to accompany me to the Memory Trends Trade Show in Las
Vegas so I would not have to go alone. She was better than a personal assistant. She made sure I was on time to all my appointments
and helped me pick out all of great products that should be arriving at our store within the next couple of weeks. Coco Sandstrom was
the friendly one greeting you at the raffle ticket desk. Coco is my long time friend who has always supported me and has always
offered her help….I finally took her up on her offer. Thank you Coco!! It is great having a DJ in the family!! My brother Art Gomez spent
several days making a ten hour compilation of music and lugged all his equipment over to the store to make sure you would
have great music to shop to. Michelle Gutierrez,
Kristen Robinson, Monique Clemmer and Larynda Peterson started off as customers and are now our friends.
They were responsible for all those great Make & Takes. They also helped with Customer Service because they are here so
often that they know our store just as well as we do. Check out our Class schedule because Michelle, Kristen, Monique and
Larynda will be teaching several classes at Scrappin’ Good Times. They are all so creative and talented. You will be
missing out if you do not sign up for their classes!!! A HUGE THANK YOU to KARYSSA RODRIGUEZ. Karyssa was so sweet to come
and entertain us all with those VERY SMOOTH MICHAEL JACKSON MOVES!! Everyone was talking about how great you were for days
after your performance. Last but not least!! Thank you to the San Dimas Chamber of Commerce
who came out to our store early on a Saturday morning when I am sure they would rather be sleeping in. Thank you for coming
out and giving us our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This made the day seem so OFFICIAL!! |
